Financing

The first step in getting a mortgage is getting a pre-approval.  During this process you will complete a mortgage application and verifiy your credit income, assets, and liabilities.  Getting a pre-approval is a highly recommended step BEFORE you start looking for a home.  It helps by letting you know what the maximum is you can purchase a home for, puts you into a stronger position with a seller, and it usually helps you close on your new home quicker.

You will need the following items when you meet with your loan officer:

1.  W-2 (2 years) or 1040's

2.  Last 30 day paystubs

3.  Name/Address of Landlord/Mortgage

4.  Employer and two year history

5.  Bank names, Account Numbers

6.  Last 3 month bank statements

7.  Open Loan Information

8.  Copy of Driver's License

9.  Copy of Social Security Card

10. Info on any real estate owned

If you are in need of a loan officer or just want a couple of names to compare programs, below are some loan officers that I have worked with in the past and that have done a wonderful job.  Please feel free to contact any one of them for your quick pre-approval:

Lynne Black, Amerihome Mtg. - 257-1335

Jim Buick, Citizens Bank - 810-766-7772

Perry Kendall, Flagstar - 810-629-1868
